Jeff

I would like to remove my installed acrobat IE helper. How do I do
that? It is not listed in the add/remove programs.

Hi Jeff,

Open IE, Tools, Internet options, Programs tab. Click the
button to Manage addons. Find the Acrobat entry and select it, then
click on Disable.

You could also remove the version of Acrobat (from Add/Remove Programs)
and install the newest version.

Jeff,

Its a Browser Helper Object (BHO )

Click START
Click RUN
Type 'regedit' & click OK
Navigate to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Browse
r Helper Objects

You will have a CLSID & then delete the Acrobat IE Helper one
({06849E9F-C8D7-4D59-B87D-784B7D6BE083})

Close the registry editor

If you have Spybot S & D installed then goto MODE menu | Advanced | Tools
tab & check BHO's
On the BHO tool, highlight the ADOBE one & click the RED REMOVE button at
the top

Thank you. I do have Spybot but did not know you could use it for such
purposes.

Thanks.
