We recently upgraded to 2002. It has been brought to my
attention that ALLAN STRATTON appears on all documents
for everyone in the office as a reviewer in track
changes. No one knows who he is. I have:
(1) accepted all changes, but that doesn't help
(2) unticked his name but he is still there
(3) he does not exist in the Document Information
(4) deleted normal.dot from templates but on re-starting
Word, he is STILL there!

Any ideas please
thanks

Allan Stratton apparently works (or worked) for for ScanSoft, which makes
the TextBridge OCR application. He is listed as a reviewer in the
TbRun97.dot add-in. Since this add-in won't work properly with Word 2002
anyway, you may as well remove it from Word's Startup folder.

Suzanne, thank you a million times, that solved the
problem, you're a genius.

I can't take credit for tracking that one down. IIRC, Beth Melton worked
with another user to isolate that add-in (but I have good files and search
methods <g>).
