how to remove a nt4 bdc from active directory

I have an NT4 server which is now a BDC in our upgraded
W2K network. How do you remove it completely as not to
leave it showing up in active users & computers (unlike
the W2K server I reformatted without demoting first, but
that's another question)

Thanks

Just turn it off. There are no special hoops to jump through when
decommissioning NT 4.0 BDC's.

No special hoops, except that the object remains in AD and it's never
cleared out.

Use ADSI or NTDSUTIL/metadata cleanup.

Thanks for your reply, I'll look at that article. The
message I get when trying to delete the computer from the
active directory users ans computers is: The DSA object
cannot be deleted. This is the same message I get trying
to delete a W2K server I reformatted without demoting first

Thanks
