Hi
I understand that once you have created a component for
the target device. It will always appear in the component
browser at the Target Designer. How do I delete the
component at the component browser. Would apprecicate it
if someone can answer this.

Thanks & Regards

Hi Shih

To remove a component you must remove it from your
database. If the component is remove there, it will not
appear in your td browser again.

good luck

Shie , you need to open the Component Database Manager.Click the
Component Tab .Once you Select the component you want to delete from
the list - the Delete button (below the Database Manager)gets
enabled.Thats it..now the control is in your hands :)

btw make sure that you are in exclusive mode.

Hi thanks for the tip but I need more details on this.
Let me shed more details on this issue.
I have created a component call devices through running
the tap.exe. After the importing it to the database, it
will eventually be created at the Target Designer for the
user to be added to the configuration. The trouble is when
I go the Component Dtatbase Manager to try delete this
component, the properties of the Device component does not
tally with the one I created. The list is long & I'm
afraid I may delete the wrong component & screw up the
whole thing.
Please advise
Thanks.

Hey

You can use a filter to find your component. Go to your
database and make a filter with the rule: component
contains the following file: YourDevice.dll. So you can
find your component and delete it.
