How to refresh the desktop background with a script?

I have a unique situation. My users (teachers) feel it takes too long for the
students to log off and the next student to log on. So, because we're a
Novell shop, I just put a shortcut to the Novell login on their desktops.
Works great.
Now the teachers want the student's picture set as the desktop background.
I've got that delivered through group policies and it works, but only for the
first kid to log on in the morning. The next kid to log on (through Novell
remember) does not get the desktop background refreshed.
I'd like to either use a script that would cause the background to refresh
on login, or deliver an app through Zenworks that would run and cause the
background to refresh. I don't know what .exe in XP Pro would cause a
refresh, if any.

Any help?

Thanks in advance.

WTF would refreshing the desktop background do. NOTHING. This is a windows group not a novell group.

Since it's a Microsoft desktop, I thought I'd get some help from Microsoft
"experts". All I want is to have the desktop refresh either with a login
script, or with an app. Refreshing the desktop background would cause the
picture of the new user to appear as the desktop background, that's WTF it
would do.

Why would it do that? If you are stupid enough to use Novell then ask Novell. What don't you understand that Novell is a different operating system. It has nothing to do with windows.

Novell people can't configure windows and windows people can't configure novell. The only reason novell sells anything is that there lots of people who'd be out of a job and they specify novell.

But we are used to morons that come to an MS group demanding answers to other competing companies products.

"Why would it do that?" Apparently you weren't smart enough to comprehend my
posts. I'll type slower now. I am using Microsoft Windows XP
Professional. I need Microsoft Windows XP Professional
desktops to refresh when the new users login.
