How to reduce the file size of Access

Dear Experts

I have a big question in Access's filesize

There have 4 tables in my Access database, and each table have 4000 records
nearly. The file size of the Access database almost likely 1.7M
So, I had deleted some records from each table so as to reduce the file size
of the Access database. Howwever, the filesize of Access database haven't
decrease.

How can I decrease the filesize of Access database?
