How to: Recover deleted WORD document - WORD 2003

I inadvertingly pressed delete on a WORD document I was working on and cannot
find it anymore. Document had been worked on for three days and repeatedly
had been saved with no problem. I was not using the feature Back-up file.

Hi Cyril,

You may want to check your Recycle bin if you deleted it from Windows Explorer or the Open file dialog.

Dear Bob, Many thanks for your suggestion. YES, I went there to start with. I
have also used a software package for file retrieveal, with no success. I am
re-doing the file (1MB). I cannot understand how a file repeatably saved,
would disappear entirely. The actual function that caused the disappearance,
was a "want to save?", I pressed the NO button. The whole file went, rather
than just the last paragraph or sentence being worked on. Anyhow, I
appreciate your help. Regards, Cyril

Dear Val,
Thanks for your input. As mentioned to Bob, I have already completed my 52
page re-write and have sent document to the intended party. I will try your
method when time permits. Anyhow, thanks for your suggestion. It really helps
to have other opinions. regards, Cyril

PS: I have analysed my problem. It was caused by my left hand. One finger
was on the Ctrl button and the on key "A". This caused document to highlight,
hence the save or not save window. You know the rest. I opted for NO. cyril
