How to recolor specific colors in a picture

In PPT 2000/xp/2003 it was very easy to recolor a specific color (for example
changing black to white or what ever) using the recolor button in the picture
toolbar, unfortunately, in PPT 2007 the recolor option does too many other
things but not the simple ones...
My question is How to do that simple task... i just want to recolor black to
white not to change everything...
Please help me

Yes, recolor as we know it was removed and replaced with this overkill thing
that doesn't work logically -- or at least I haven't yet figured out its
logic.

Only thing I know to do is ungroup the clip and actually recolor each piece.
Yes, I kow that's tedious.

I'll probably keep older versions of PPT around and recolor in there and
then right-click and save as picture and import that into 2007. Wish I had a
better workaround for you.

Thank You Echo S, unfortunately microsoft has done a great job with ribbons
but i found that they forget to implement too may time-savvy features,
another example is the missing drawing toolbar (specially the fill color
button) that was a helpful shortcut for almost every object in excel and
power point...
