How to read japanese in word 2000 from lotus notes

How can I set up word 2000 to read japanese documents that are imported from
a link via lotus notes (I already have notes set up to translate documents)
but when I try to import the documents into word it does not work.

This such an obscure question... You might try asking in the
word.interntional.features newsgroup.
