Using Record Sound command in PP2003 have created lots of embedded sound
objects. Each shows up as an icon on the slide where I created it. Mostly I
use these sounds by creating another object with an Action Setting that plays
the sound object.
Once that Action Setting has been created, I don't need the original icon
anymore--usually. Sometimes I accidentally delete the original icon for the
sound object. No problem -- the Action setting still plays the sound when I
activate the related object.
Problem: occasionally I want to play the sound as a separate step in an
animation sequence. I can easily do that when I have the sound icon, but
when it's gone, I don't know how to access the embedded sound object. I
can't figure out how to "extract" it from the Action Setting.
The only solution I can think of is to re-record the sound (they're voice
narration clips), but if the narrator isn't handy...it's a hassle.
Any suggestions appreciated.
