How to 'protect' a web folder from FP ?

We want to setup a folder for staff to use to FTP variouss documents.

So we do not want FP to check it when we use FP to update the regular
web site.

How can we tell FP to ignore the contents of a particular folder?

Convert the folder into a FP subweb/subsite by right clicking the folder...
