I want to insert a picture (jpeg format) in an outgoing email message without
having to resize it. When I follow the insert - picture - browse menu the
picture is inserted but it is too big. When I resize it the lettering becomes
distored. Is it possible to insert the picture so that you do not have to
resize it?

The command "Insert - File" results in an attachment added to the email. My
intention is to add a picture in the body of the email - not an attachment.

You might want to clarify yourself a bit more here. What forces you to
resize the picture? Of course it is logic that when you make the picture
smaller less details can be displayed.

What message format are you using (plain text, rich text, HTML)? Only
HTML format can insert jpg images into the message body.
