I received an email with an attachment ".pps".

I have PowerPoint viewer 2003.

Please explain how to open that attachment.

Thank you.

Save the email attachment to either your desktop or a folder of your choice
then double click on it. If you have PowerPoint like you say, it will start
up.

If doubleclicking the attachment in your email program doesn't launch the file
automatically in PPT Viewer, you may need to save the file out of the email
program to a file on your hard drive and launch it from there.

Mention what email program you use and perhaps someone who uses it will be able
to help with that.

you've already been told how to open that pps file. To avoid further
problems either download that file or temporarily change the filetype of a
ppt file to pps so you'll have a pps file on your hard drive. Hold down the
shift key while you right click the pps file. Choose Open With. Now choose
Powerpoint Viewer as the program to open this type file. (you may need to
browse to it) Put a checkmark before always use this program to open this
type file. Now any pps file you receive should open with Powerpoint Viewer.
