How to Open a HDD?

HI,
I have a HDD that is mechanically damaged. I am sure I will open it,
just want to know the basics that I have to take care. What I want to
try is unplug it and then plug it again. I hope it might work it. The
HDD had fell on the floor on one of its corners. Now its making tic
tic noise and is not detected by Bios. Can anyone tell me what are the
things I should take care of or a URL to a nice tutor will be good as
well.

That last one is so obviously a fake that I am surprised you fell
for it.
