Hello,
I have a space problem on my system drive.
- so i decided to move the whole profil directory to another partition.
i have an "Administrator" and "Programming" acccount.
- moved the directory via xcopy
- changed all registry keys for the user profiles
restarted and logged in again.
For "Programming" account it worked fine!
For "Administrator" it did not work!
The System created another account called "Administrator.<computername>".
I did the same game again.
- change registry for "Administrator.<computername>" to "Administrator"
- restart
Once again it did not work!
The System now created another account called
"Administrator.<computername>.000".
I guessed that it could be a writing privileges or ownership problem (i used
the flag for copying privileges in xcopy /E /F /H /K /O /C /R). Anyway
compared privilege settings. the "Administrator" account had inheritance of
privileges activated. i deactivated this setting.
my Administrator account has now full access for Administrator,
Administrator group and SYSTEM (no inheritance of privileges) which should be
fine.
same problem again the new account is now:
"Administrator.<computername>.001"
I do not know what to do anymore. Where is the problem? for the
"Programming" account it worked fine. How can i set the profil path for my
"Administrator" account?
any help is appreciated!
best regards,
gerd
