Windows XP Pro office power point - need to save pictures from power point
slides as jpeg in 1024x768 dimension in stead of the standard 720x540 that
power point jpeg interchange format saves it as.

If your slide is set to 10 x 7.5 (default) and your output picture is 720 x
540, than just adjust your page set-up to 14.22 x 10.67. Then save as and
change the type to JPGs.

Be aware that some versions of PowerPoint use 96 pixels per inch others use
72.

Aaarrrrgggggghhhhhh, Google's irritiating me to no end! I don't know what
its problem is, but I'm having a hard time finding things using the search
at the PPT FAQ.

Anyway, try this:

Improve PowerPoint's GIF, BMP, PNG, JPG export resolution
http://www.pptfaq.com/FAQ00052.htm

Then use Ctrl-F in the future? Provided if you can remember the headings or
topics. <g>

I know you're teasing, but that particular FAQ doesn't seem to be on the
http://www.pptfaq.com/index.html#ListOfLinks page.

I don't understand what Google's doing to cause different results all of a
sudden, though. It's really irritating when I *know* a FAQ is there, but I
can't locate it using the search on the site. It's stupid that I should have
to do a separate search in Google Groups to turn up an FAQ when I'm already
right there on the site!

Hmm, are you sure its not there?
I tried Ctrl-F and type in: export resolution
And it jumps to that link..

Yeah, apparently Google's trying to make their free search results more
MS-like. You're in a helicopter.

Searching directly from google seems to work better:

site:pptfaq.com export resolution

hoiks up just the page you're after.

Another month of this nonsense and the google search goes off the FAQ. It's a
waste of everyone's time.
