How to make easy stuff impossible!

Hi,

All I want to do is put some text in a table and have the paragraphs spaced
sensibly, this really should not be rocket science should it? The
paragraphs word wrap to the next line, but if you put a line break in, you
jump 2 lines - how can I stop this it's mega annoying! You seem to need to
format the paragraphs with lines before text of -12 even though they are set
for single spacing - why on earth does this happen.

Also, why does FP insert <span lang="en-gb"> </span> around every single
piece of text - who asked it to, what's the point and how can I stop it. I
need to edit the html later and all this extra junk makes it so hard.
What's it all about? If it has to do this, would not a single <div> do it?

Please help

Dave

1. Use Shift + Enter for a single line space. Enter alone is a new paragraph. This is an html
standard.

2. With the site open, click Tools Site Settings then click the Language tab and set "default page
encoding " to:
US/Western European(Windows) and then check "Ignore the keyboard when deciding the encoding of new
pages"
and then click OK

That is the way FP behaves. You want Shift-Enter which will insert a line break.

Enter on its own will always line-feed to leave a blank line, and that is the way
it is intended.
