Hi,
In device manager there are many usb roots listed but when you double
click to it and in advanced tab, i'im not exactly know which usb roots
are listed. I mean i'm using 3 USB ports on-board of notebook,
additionaly there is PCMCIA cardbus adapted 2 USB ports are avaliable.

So, how to know USB devices connected to which port in "device
manager" ?

Unless the name is distinctive - which normall is not the case. You can
disconnect them and see which one disappears.

All of roots are shown as "usb root hub" both for on-board usb and
pcmcia usb.

How can i seperate which device i'm running on?

The only way I've done it is to disconnect that hub if it's external or
something on that hub.

Device Manager>>Double Click one of the Root Hub entries>>
pick the Power tab

attached devices will be listed there - but unless the driver mgfr.
has written a "friendly" driver, the name may of the device may not
be very understandable...

Hi Anna,
Thanks for the valuable links you've given. http://www.k0lee.com/dc3000/usbts.htm
- this was pretty helpful but i got still a question.

If you look at my screenshot linked below, you see plenty of free
ports reported as "noDeviceConnected" in USBview. But i have 3 USB
ports on-board of notebook plus 2 USB ports providing by USB PCMCIA
expand adaptor which are FULL with several devices.

So what's the logic of "no_device_connected" of free ports reported by
USBview?

Thank you.
