How to keep Notepad window "always on top"?

Sometimes, when I run Notepad, I would like to keep its window "always
on top", in the way that the Task Manager window is. How can I do
that?

I am using Windows XP Pro 2002 SP2.

Per Detlev Dreyer:
You can't unless you have the source code. As a workaround, there are
third-party tools around eg. "NailIt":

I downloaded that puppy and am using it.

That's a *really* nice little piece of work.

To the OP: download that thing and you'll have exactly what you
want with NotePad...and any other application.

Dual monitors. Move the Notepad window to the second monitor.

I tried to download "Nailit" from the url above and found out it's just
a BAIT AND SWITCH LIE. They require you provide your email and you get
NO DOWNLOAD. Avoid it!

Try NoteTab Light:
http://www.notetab.com/ntl.php

Much better than Notepad and has a "Stay-on-top" option (under View).

I'll second that, just to help the OP believe it after his first
situation. It not only has that feature but some others he may find
useful too. A great tool.
