How to keep Logitech Setpoint dialog from opening on boot?

I have an (admittedly cosmetic) problem using Logitech Setpoint.

I just did a fresh install using the current (3.10) version - which is
working fine, but after each Windows startup, the "Mouse and Keyboard
settings" dialog opens. This didn't happen with previous versions.

How can I stop this? Ie, I *want* to use Setpoint, but its settings
dialog should not open every time I boot.

The setup software is launched using this link in the Autostart folder:

"C:\Programme\Logitech\SetPoint\SetPoint.exe /s"

(Of course, removing this link disables Setpoint as well, and I do not
want to start it manually.)

I have already uninstalled and reinstalled the software, however, with
no effect.

There must be an option in the software that tells it to run the
configuration utility at every startup. Either look at the options in
Control Panel or contact Logitech tech support. We have a Logitech
gaming mouse that uses setpoint.exe and this doesn't happen here.

While this may not be what you're looking for. Try downgrading to the
Mouseware/keyboard software. It's much more stable than the Setpoint. FYI -
the Setpoint doesn't even work in my Vista installation, so I downgraded to
the Mouseware and now am happy as a clam.

Another option is to use the Microsoft Intellipoint/Intellitype drivers on
your Logitech device. They offer much the same functionality (after a bit of
fiddling).

Hello John,

thank you for suggesting an alternative, but I really want to use
Setpoint. And it used to work as it is supposed to ... Hm.

Remove " /s" and see if that stops the settings dialog.

Success! :) SetPoint running, but no more annoying dialog.

Now - why don't the ret.. err, really nice people at Logitech support
not know this? OTH, should have thought of it myself. But I was sure
that the "/s" flag (which the Installer had set, not me) stood for
"silent" (startup /wo dialog) ...

Thank you -appreciate it.
