Hi -
Because we need to remotely access bunches of XP laptops at a time, we need
to find a way to set the power scheme to "Always On" when the user is logged
off. (We can easily use powercfg.exe in a logon script to set it properly
for logged on users.)
I have been told that the power settings for that scenario are under
HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT, but when I set the current scheme to "3", which is
"Always On", the machine still goes into suspend mode eventually, therefore I
have to believe that is incorrect.
What I seem to have discovered is that the Power Scheme of the previously
logged on user is what stands. (I haven't tested this after a reboot though.)
Others must run into this problem. Does anyone have a solution?
Thanks.
