how to install winxp with a small primary partition?

B

blade

I recently want to upgrade my system to winxp. And when I
start to install winxp, it always told me that my disk c
has insufficent free space(My disk C only has 600MB and
there is 100MB left. But my disk D has 5GB free space
left).

If I don't want to re-partition my disk, how can I do to
let winxp use disk d to store the temporary files?

Hi,

Unfortunately Windows XP requires about 1500Mb of disk
space (see link below):

You will only be able to install XP on the D: drive.
You can tell setup to put the temporary files somewhere
else by using a switch after the setup command (I forget
which one). You can type "setup /?" for a list of switches.

Tim
