I'm wanting to separate several paragraphs on a page with a decorative line
between them. Has anyone done this before?

Sure. You could use a border or you could insert a graphic and center it (I
would be sure to position it Inline with text). I just tried
Insert-->Clipart, chose Clips online and used "clipart" as the media type
and "separator" as the keyword, and got 7 pages of stuff. :)

Hope it helps!
