How to I mark a text and remove paragraphs?

I want to select part of a text in word and remove the paragraphs in that
area. i.e. making it all be only one paragraph.
 
I'm not sure what you are asking. Are you placing your insertion point
at the end of the 'line' and pressing Delete to remove the paragraph
mark?

Perhaps if you turn on your non-printing characters (¶ in the toolbar)
then you'll be able to see what you want to delete.
