How to have programs open maximized windows?

I have some programs that open in a minimized window. I do not like that. I
want my programs to open in a maximized window.

How can I do that? I do not care if I have to set each program individually.

Try a right-click on the program's shortcut, then PROPERTIES. Note the
options available in the RUN box; click the small black arrow at the
right side.
