How to go back to Windows 98SE

As of July 11, 2006, from the manufacturers point of view, Win 98SE is
obsolete too:

I'll have to have a think about whether to upgrade to Windows XP or ME.
What happened last time to prompt me to upgrade from W95 was the tax
office stopped providing online tax return support to W95, and it was
cheaper to upgrade to W98SE than to pay a tax agent to do my return.

yes support has ended as well in July for windows 98 SE. I am not even sure
if you can get any of the updates that exsisted with it. Otherwise it will
be stuck to far back in internet explorer 5 I believe. Hopefully you can at
least upgrade the internet explorer and all windows 98 flaws. I hated
windows 98 se myself, always that fatal crash with it. Blue screen. Xp does
not do that!

If you move up to XP, you'll wonder why you ever liked 98SE or 95.

Whenever you do make the decision to upgrade, avoid Windows ME at all costs.

It is widely acknowledged as the worst version of Windows Microsoft has
created due to perceived stability and compatibility issues.
