how to get XP activation file

Hello all

I read somewhere once that you can copy a system file on
your PC, which holds all the activation info, which you
can copy back to your PC. I am trying to re-install XP on
my PC, and want to avoid re-activating it, if it can be
helped. Any ideas?

As Nicholas stated you cannot avoid re-activating it but why would you want
to. It's a painless process.
