How to get rid of this dialog box

Whenever I put a CD or DVD in my drive a dialog box that asks mw what
application I want to open the CD or DVD with. How can I stop that dialog
box from coming up.

Hold the Shift key down when you insert the CD or DVD.

To turn off autoplay download TweakUI, one of the MS powertoys, from here.
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp

Run it and expand the My Computer then Autoplay sections. In the Drives
section uncheck the drive letters for which you don't want autoplay to run.

For something more permanent right click the drive > Properties > Autoplay
