On the login screen, you know - the one that lists all the users after the
OS boots up or you want to change users, there is a message for one user
that says "125 unread email messages." This is not true. I have tried
everything I can think of including deleting the email account from MS
Outlook and changing the email program to Outlook Express. I've searched the
registry for anything with either "125" or "unread" in it and can't find
anything. (Since this message is generated during boot-up, I assume, I
wasn't surprised that the registry didn't have anything that looked like the
"culprit.") I ran msconfig and looked for anything that might generate this
message - nothing. I searched the entire hard drive for any file that
contained the word "unread" and found nothing that looked like it was the
source. So where is this message coming from and how can I get rid of it?
Thanks,
Ted
