How to get MMC 8.2 to install

I have the new ATI TV Wonder PRO. I also have the ATI AIW 128 as a
video card. I bought the new tuner for improved picture quality and
to get Guide Plus. I have no other MMC programs installed, just the
video drivers.

I have XP with all updates. I got the hardware to work by using
WinDVR, which costs more than the card.

Everything installs from the CD normally except for the MMC 8.2 It
installs the Windows Media Encoder, then quits, just goes to taskbar,
then nothing.

I've tried all the usual things. Very frustrating. Any suggestions?

The new tuner is better, but I want to see what I paid for. I
contacted ATI, who sent me a new installaton disc. What a waste of
time.

You need to have at least a Radeon class of card to use the TV Wonder Pro.

Seems strange that ATI didn't tell me that on the phone. Win DVR
works just great. Screw the buggy software.
