In Windows XP SP2 I have set the automatic search in Microsoft Internet
Explorer
6 this way. Open Microsoft Internet Explorer | Search | Change preferences
| Change Internet search behavior | Select the default search engine |
Google | OK.

I expect that is the way to Change [the] Internet search behavior. So I
type Rome in the address bar and hit <ENTER>. I arrive at the
search.msn.com search engine.

How do I fix this?

Anybody answering this post by George should look at his post which was the same on Sept 26 10:39 P.M.

He got the answer from BobI and of course that is not what he was looking for.
He could not bring up an MS kb to point out that the kb is wrong and has a mistake.

Please Read all of that thread to understand that Mister Hester is Trolling

He did not. It had nothing to do with Windows XP of course coming from
someone who has never answered anyone here other than to accuse them of
being a troll your response was expected. Well I'll try again.

Well the Newserver here messed me up. I do not usually read my own posts.
The original request for this issue had two responses to those I had
responded to. Looking at it I see my responses never showed. I assumed
they were from me and just ignored them. Again though unless the loss of
the character returns to the Classic window as is seen in say IE 5 the
suggestions were not for Windows XP. I will give remvoving the character a
shot and see what that does. Again sorry for the confusion here.

You know a very simple answer could have been try removing the character.
Even when the question was asked in perpetuity. It is the jumping to
conclusions which Peter and others here need to learn how to control.

Go back and read the thread George. Bob I did answer you . You got a very short memory. For somebody that is still using IE 5.5 you are doing pretty good . Even W2K2 has IE6 which you claim to be using. You are also using WinXP sometimes the Home edition and sometimes the Pro edition. Now put as all at ease and tell us how many systems are you using at home and at work. Oh I forgot you also had a kb concerning Win MCE that did not work on yours. I can pull that thread if it is important to you and you did forget.
I can pull all of your posting from this group and all the others that you posted to other groups
Just give the go ahead and I will post all with the Dates and time of your post.

George you are Trolling with showing all that the KB's in question to your queries are wrong and should be corrected. They are not wrong .You are

Where do you get these accusations? Do you dream these up all on your own
or did you go to schrool to learn them. Let's take your accusations one by
one.

"For somebody that is still using IE 5.5 you are doing pretty good." - yes.
So?

"W2K2 has IE6 which you claim to be using." - Never said that. I am uising
Win2000 but not IE 6 there. IE 6 is in Windows XP which is all we should be
concerned about since that is what I asked about w/r to this issue.

"You are also using WinXP sometimes the Home edition." - Now that one you
definitely must have gone to schrool to learn to say because I never said
it. But of course all trolls make things up.

"Oh I forgot you also had a kb concerning Win MCE that did not work on
yours." - what the hell are you talking about? Well in troll school I guess
you did your homework.

"Just give the go ahead and I will post all with the Dates and time of your
post." - Please do that would be enlightening.

"George you are Trolling with showing all that the KB's in question to your
queries are wrong and should be corrected. They are not wrong .You are" -
Oh Peter you are a godsend. A true godsend. What would usenet be without
you? You still don't understand the definition of troll so I suggest you get
back to your studies and bone up a little.

That is the first time in a month you have not included the word, "troll" in
your responses to me. What's wrong?
