What do you mean by CPU ID? The same information that you can see in
Control Panel >> System? If so search at vbnet.mvps.org.

I want my application can only be used in one PC. So the serial number is
given based on computer ID information.
Is there any way to setup the license ?
Thanks.

I'm not aware of any computer ID information other than the easily
spoofed hard drive volume ID.

Others may know of such.

However if your customer has to move their app from one system to
another and they can't do it without talking to you they will be
highly upset with you. I, for one, would not purchase your app if I
knew this ahead of time.

Tony,

I often use the company name to restrict the license.
But for this application, there is no company name or vital information that
I can use to set the license.
So how do I protect the license ?
Thanks.

That's a tough one. And I don't have an answer for you.
