I have run into a problem while testing some utility software packages, after I de-installed the package i was left with Internet Explorer not working. Receiving a costant message "The page cannot be displayed". All of te other components that accessthe net are working properly MSN, Outlook. etc.
I have installed Netscape and it work just fine..
So i was trying to fully uninstall IE and then reinstall it, but it seem that when i remove it from the "Add and Remove Window Components" altough the icons are gone the program must still be there because when i try to install the last downloaded version it prevents me from doing it saying that a newer version is already on the machine.
My question is if the IE program is deinstalled from the "Add and Remove Window Components" is the program really removed?
And how do I force it totally out so that I can run a new installation without reinstallin the entire OS?
Any assistance would be appreciated.
