How to: Frontpage Include to keep parts for new pages

Hi,

I am building a website for my work in Frontpage and I’m fairly new to it.
I’ve created my homepage and I’d now like to create other pages.

In these other pages I would like to keep part of the layout – the top part,
the left hand margin and the bottom row (layout and content), so the pages
are all consistent and then I can add the new bits in the rest of the layout
for that new page. I posted this problem previously and I thought I
understood the response which was: "Doing a Save As is good if you have
designed the page layout and included the header, footer and sidebar
navigation as FP Includes, then as you create new pages, these 3 areas will
already be in
place on the pages".
Could someone tell me what to click on step-by-step as from after I click on
new page in my website to make areas I want into a FP Include and then to
have it there on the new page ready to add my new bits.
Hope I’ve made sense.

Thanks,
Liz.

1. Create a new, empty page and place the top area content on it. Save as
any name you wish (e.g., include_top.htm).
2. Create a new, empty page and place the left area content on it. Save as
.... (same as above, different name of course).
3. Repeat process for bottom area content.
4. Generally, your top content and bottom content does not need to be
placed inside a cell/table, but can if desired. Generally, your left content
will need to be in the left column cell of a table on each page on which it
is used.
5. Now, on your web page, insert each included content page. Insert>Web
Components>Included Content>Page - browse to appropriate page.

It is AFTER you have your first page designed in this fashion that you will
use the "Save As..." and give a different name - sort of the same as using
the original as a Page Template.

When you update the content of the pages created in steps 1-3, they will
automatically update all pages on which they have been included.
