How to freeze and scroll boot-up screen?

Kate

I do not want to enter Set Up, but am just curious to see exactly what
appears on the screen during boot-up, as it might be useful one day!
I remember being able to do it in Win98se but cannot remember how.
Can it be done in XP Home, please?

Thanks
Kate

Press the Delete key during startup, the F1 key, F2, Esc, Ctrl/S.. It
really depends on your BIOS. You didn't mention the type of computer so
no definitive answer could be given. Watch the bootup and there'll
sometimes be a not "Press (appropriate key" to enter Setup".
