Use Windows Explorer to go to the folder where you saved the
downloaded file, TaskPaneController.exe. This is a self-extracting zip
file. Just double-click it and follow the instructions in the popup
boxes. When you let it finish, and then close and restart Word, you'll
have a new Task Pane Controller item on the Tools menu.
I think I just opened the download, rather than save it, so I wouldn't know
where to find it. However, after I last wrote, I read back farther where
you had suggested to the original writer to go to Tools-Options-View and
uncheck the Show StartUp Task Pane, and that worked. Thanks for your help.
