How to Force Sysprep NOT to Reset Drive Letters??

I'm trying to setup some 2K3 boxes with 2 (or in some case 3) physical
HDD's - Disk0 & Disk1 (& possibly Disk2). Disk0 is setup with two
partitions, a C: and a D: and Disk1 is a single partition set to E: (if
there's a Disk2 it's also a single partition set to F:) . Additionally,
I've changed the CD-ROM drive letter to X: and would like to keep it that
way, but it's not as critical as the drive lettering of the physical disks.

My problem is that once I run sysprep on the machine to prepare it for
imaging, the drive letters are reset when the box comes back up. I could
live with that if they would come back up in the same manner that I setup
them up in (with the exception of the CD-ROM drive that's no longer X:, but
becomes the next available drive letter), but the drive letters get assigned
priority based on primary partition on the physical disk (at least that's
how it appear to me). In my above scenario, what was C: & D: on Disk0
becomes C: (same) and E: (if there's only a Disk1) or F: (if there's a Disk1
& Disk2); Disk1 is then assigned D:; and Disk2 (if applicable) is then
assigned E:. The CD-ROM is always give the next available drive letter -
either F: or G: in this case.

So, how do I force Sysprep to maintain my drive letter integrity? Or, I
suppose if that's an impossibility, how do I automatically reassign the
correct drive letters to the correct partitions?

thnx

Matthew
