how to fix volumes with Healthy (At Risk) status

I got the at Risk error on a new WD 250Gb hard drive
using the Promise Ultra ATA100 T2 controller that came
with it.
Does any one know what this means and how to diagnose the
issue?
 
Go to run,type:cmd
At the curser type:CHKDSK D: /R Agree to restart,then
type:EXIT Restart computer,D: being the hd.
For device info go to run,type:Msinfo32
