How to Find GUID/UUID?

V

Victor

Hi,

I have a small home network with a Server and a Router as the DHCP server.
I want to get my Server to recognize one of my PC's running XP Pro.
Could not find the GUID/UUID at BIOS, neither at PC case or with a network
sniffer (Tried Iris and Sniff'em).
Does anybody know any other way I can get the GUID/UUID or maybe a sniffer
thta could get me the DHCP package?
Thanks a lot!!

Victor.

I'm pretty dense, as usual, this evening.

Can you explain in different words, what you are trying to find? You don't
mean the mac address of the network interface card in the XP machine, do
you?

The DHCP Server doesn't require a GUID to assign IP Address. Try
using a MAC Address (available via ipconfig /all from the client
computer).
