How to find a device on network?

I have a home LAN (192.168.1.xx) of WinXP boxes, on which is a device
(linksys music bridge) whose address I've "lost". I'm hoping the "lost"
address is a 192.168.1.xx address, but I'm not even sure of that, see
below. I do have the MAC address of the device.

I need the IP address to access the device to change it's
configuration. Is there:

-Is there a way to get a list of all active IP adresses on my network?
(I seem to recall UNIX
has a "spray" command to do this, but apparently WinXP does not).

-Is there a way to get IP address if I have MAC address?

Without going through all the details, the "lost" address might be
10.10.1.xx .... and I've already tried resetting the device to it's
default address, which doesn't seem to work.

Ideas appreciated

It seems unlikely that the device would have an IP of 10.xxx.xxx.xxx if
it's on a 192.168.1.xxx subnet.

If you implemented your LAN with a router, and you are using the
router's DHCP server, which is the usual situation, the router should
have a table of DHCP clients, matching IP address to MAC address. If
you don't have a router, or you manually set static IP addresses, you
may have to dig a little deeper.

It was installed on another subnet. I don't know if it picked up it's
address from
that subnet. So I don't know it's address. That's why I asked the
question.

Gus,

Either Angry IP Scanner or Softperfect Network Scanner will scan your subnet for
all devices.

If you want another subnet scanned, though, try The Dude (what a name).

Howdy,

No expert I, but...

Is there a reset button on the device? If so, with a push of
the button it would likely return to its default address...

All the best,
