How to expand logical volume in 2000

I have Exchange 2000 running on a 2000 Advanced Server that is
seriously running out of disk space for my information stores. I have
Compaq 5300 array, and can use the array configuration utility to add
drives and put them in my array, but it says 2000 won't allow me to
expand my logical volume. The partition was originally created as a
basic partition, which I converted to dynamic, but apparently it still
won't allow growing. Is there any way I can work around this? My
alternative is spending all night moving my Exchange information
stores, but I would rather grow this live if I could.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated

I'm afraid that there is no MS supported way of doing this, without
deleting all volumes on the disk. One thing that happens when you upgrade
to dynamic is that the Filesystem ID in your partition table is changed to
0x42. Other changes are done as well, a database in the end of the disk is
created, that holds the volume info.

Partition Magic doesn't work with dynamic disks, and I presume that Volume
Manager doesn't either, else it would have been well known in this
community.
