how to enter info into a designed doc without pushing data over?

We've designed a word document that now needs information entered into it.
As the data is entered it pushes the pre-designed fields to the right. Is
there a way to freeze the fields that have been entered before so this
doesn't happen. I can draw boxes where the data can be entered but would
rather not for aesthetic reasons.

You can type in i.e. Name: go to Insert-Fields on the menu bar...under the
All fields on the right side scroll down and select MacroButton The field
properties will appear on the left side. Type in the desired text in our
example Click to type Name here Select AcceptAllChangesInDoc. and that should

Make a table with the cells in the right places. On the menu, click
Table > AutoFit > Fixed Column Width so the cells can't expand. Use
Format > Borders & Shading to turn off the table's borders (or just
press the shortcut Ctrl+Alt+U). Place each form field in a separate
cell of the table, and they won't make anything else move.
