How to enable print preview for HTML formatted items in Outlook

I am not able to preview HTML formatted mails in Outlook 2003. Also when I
change margins for memo type items, it is not effective in actual printing.

1) Print preview; you can't
2) HTML print settings can be set through Internet Explorer as Outlook uses
that component to print HTML formatted e-mails.

The statement "Print preview; you can't" tells it all but WHY can't you print
preview an HTML formatted e-mail? This topic is from 2006, I would think
MicroSoft would have found a way to print preview HTML e-mails by now.

The reason why there is no print preview for HTML: HTML is rendered in the page as it will be printed, so there is little need for print preview - what you see is what you get.

That said, print preview does work for HTML messages in Outlook 2007. This is in part because Outlook now uses the Word HTML rendering engine, not IE's.

Outlook is not WYSIWYG

Hi Diane:
"The reason why there is no print preview for HTML: HTML is rendered in the page as it will be printed, so there is little need for print preview - what you see is what you get."
This is not true in Outlook, where although the content of the body is formatted as you see it in print, you can't determine page breaks until the document is printed. I need to see this and find the lack of print preview irritating.

Workaround: Print to PDF when I have access to Acrobat (not Reader), or print to Microsoft Document Image Writer to preview the actual file.
