When my pc starts up, and I get to the point where I am
advised that the partition on my hard drive needs to be
checked, it says that "disk checking has been canceled".
At this point I have a light blue screen background with
white colored letters. I have searched high and low to
find a way to enable disk checking and have come up empty
so far. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanking you all in
advance. -Fred

Please see if this is what you are seeking:
Start/Help and Support/Type "Check Disk" in Search Box;
then of the results of the search, select "Detecting and
repairing disk errors".
