Outlook '02 and XP-Pro with SP1, SP2, and SP3 installed. Email send/receive
and moving of email messages from Inbox to a folder not functioning. When
try get reply saying "The messaging interface has returned an unknown error.
If the problem persists, restart Outlook." Tried restart several times, as
well as full restart of computer - no luck. Searched knowledge base and
found possible reason is "appraoching 2 GB limit on .pst and .ost files.
Found the .pst file via search and see size is 1,904,704 KB. Have tried to
remove large attachments from various Outlook emails rec'd and can't get them
to remove. Suspect I need to empty the .pst file. How do I do it?

I have outlook 2007 SP1. I am receiving the exact same error that Richard is
when I try to delete emails from my "deleted Items" folder.
"The messaging interface has returned an unknown error. If the problem
persists, restart outlook".
I have run Ckdsk, Tried to run Scanpst.exe but then I am told to run Ckdsk
again.
Ckdsk found no errors.
Can you tell me how to resolve?
