I set up outlook 2003 on my new PC and moved my outlook.pst from my Outlook
2003 setup on my old computer. Now I have everything but I have a duplicate
reference to all my personal folders in mail in Outlook. I even have a
duplicate set of favorite folder shortcuts. This is in reference only, they
point to all the same folders and the same file. How can I eliminate the
second reference (note that the 'close' option is grayed!)

Let me guess. You moved your old PST into the same directory as a new PST
with exactly the same name. Bad form. You've corrupted your mail profile
and you need to create a new one. Control Panel's Mail applet will allow
you to do that.

No, I installed outlook, renamed the new outlook.pst that it created and then
moved my old one in with the original name. Both were in the same directory
but the names were different. Any suggestions now?
