I would like to edit the contents of the auto complete function because I no
longer need some of the things that it tries to use. How do I do this?
Thanks.
Are you talking about AutoCorrect? Auto complete and auto correct
are two different things. Auto complete is either on or off. I
think you mean AutoCorrect. Go to the Tools menu, choose
AutoCorrect Options and delete the items in the dialog that
appears.
I was talking about auto complete (how it completes what you are typing and
you can use wat it gives you or finish typing what you want.)
So from what I gather from the above posts. there is no way of editing what
it wants to use for auto complete except for editing the cells above in the
same column. Is that right? Am I being clear?
Yes, that is correct,. sometimes I place text above in hidden rows that I
know will be handy for auto complete
there is no way to edit the function itself unlike autocorrect

But you can use CTRL+Z (Undo) when AutoComplete does something you do not
want.
