How To Do an IE Repair

G

Guest

I have been having difficulties with some websites not
opening from all 3 of my computers. They all have WinXP
Home and IE6. All updates are current and I update and
run every day Spybot, Adaware, and others.

I've asked others to try and open the websites from their
computers and they can. I am wondering if a repair would
fix the problem, and how to do it? I've just reinstalled
XP and IE and have gotten all the updates.

I really need to get on the site
http://www.melorheostosis.org. I have checked with the
webmaster of the site and no blocks or anything have been
put on it.

Thanks for any advice or help with this.

Goto Control panel > add/remove programs and select IE6 then click
add/remove button and it will give you the option to do the repair.

To answer this question see another of my replies.
Briefly, XP users typically can not do a traditional IE Repair.
The alternative I am suggesting is the set of regsvr32 commands
documented in KB831429.
