Hello,
I'm having trouble locatiing a document at Microsoft.com that explains how
to do a non-destructive reinstall of XP when it won't boot up (at the
Windows logo it would just reboot, no hardware changes whatsoever, just
installed latest XP upadate! Safemode options didn't help.....). Dell's only
suggestion was to delete my entire partition and reinstall! A bit drastic,
I'd say!
I'm still putting all the pieces back together, but I'm wondering if there
would have been another way to solve this. Is there a way to do a non
destructive install of XP from "outside" of XP. I know how you can do it
when you're already booted to XP, but what if you can't boot XP? Just
reinstall over the existing installation?
Thanks,
Jeff
