How to display different "CC:" type?

If you opt to show the "CC:" field on your list of email
messages, Outlook will populate that field with the list
of all individuals who were CC:'ed on that message.

I'd like to show something different. I'd like to have a
field show whether or not I was CC:'ed on that email (i.e,
to distinguish between CC:'s and emails sent to me as a
primary recipient). A check mark (or no check mark) would
be the best way to populate that field, but I would settle
for "Yes/No".

Is there any way to accomplish this?

With Field Chooser (View-> Current View-> Customize Current View) you can
add the CC column to your view. Also you could set up a rule that will mark
the mesages with a flag if you were CC-ed.

Hope this helps!

Roady--

I like the idea of creating a rule, however I'd like to
save the flag for items I need to take action on.

When I go to the field chooser or right click on the
headings and choose "Customize current view", it gives me
options for creating a new field.

Is it possible for me to create a new message field that
is Yes/No and create a rule that populates that field
with "Yes" if I'm CC:'d?

(I know I can select the condition "I'm CC:'d" for a rule,
I just don't know if it's possible to create this kind of
custom action.)

Or you could color code those messages in which you were included in the
To header to distinguish them from those where you were listed in the Cc
or Bcc headers.

View -> Current View -> Customize Current View -> Automatic Formatting

I have several e-mail accounts defined in Outlook. It's handy for
determining through which e-mail account a message was received without
having to use up space for an "E-mail Account" column (which I do use in
my Junk folder so I can through which account a spam got received).
